Oregon Anesthesiology Group, the Pacific Northwest’s largest independent anesthesiology group, needed to transition their admired CEO due to retirement. The Board of Directors knew it would take a uniquely qualified CEO to drive its next phase of growth.
Challenge:Finding a strategic and relational CEO to drive OAG’s future growth
OAG sought a CEO who could navigate the complexities of a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape while positioning the organization for technological and business expansion opportunities.
The foundation was strong, but securing the right leader to balance operational demands, strategic growth, and industry innovation was the next critical step.
The ideal candidate needed to bring deep expertise in anesthesiology, a proven track record of leadership, and the ability to foster collaboration and trust within a highly specialized field. This search would be pivotal in shaping the future of OAG and ensuring its continued leadership in anesthesia care.
Process: A targeted search for a transformative healthcare leader
With OAG at a pivotal moment, Boly:Welch Executive Search conducted an in-depth intake with the Board, Executive Leadership Team, and key stakeholders to define the leadership skills and qualities essential for long-term success. Understanding the complexity of the healthcare field, we leveraged our deep network to identify experienced leaders in physician-owned surgical services groups nationwide.
Our targeted search focused on candidates with the operational expertise, strategic vision, and collaborative leadership style needed to navigate industry challenges. Through a structured selection process, we facilitated meaningful conversations between OAG and top candidates, ensuring alignment on vision, values, and the future of the organization.
Outcome: OAG welcomes Lorissa Addabbo as CEO
Lorissa Addabbo, MBA, joins OAG as its new CEO, bringing extensive experience in healthcare leadership across the Pacific Northwest.
Most recently, Lorissa served as Vice President of Anesthesia, Surgical Services, and Neuromuscular Service Lines at Salem Health, where she led all surgical business lines and an employed anesthesia group. Previously, she was CEO of Hope Orthopedics and Willamette Surgery Center, guiding both organizations through strategic growth.
As a CEO who inspires her team and drives organizational excellence while fostering a culture of innovation, Lorissa is well-positioned to lead OAG into its next chapter.
“Debbie and Jenn offered an amazing demonstration of the resources a capable search organization can bring to the table. This team really exceeded our expectations, in every way.”
