How to Start the Process

The job search can be time-consuming and stressful, so we encourage you to submit your resume when your experience, education, credentials, and work history align with the positions we see across each of our specialty areas: Accounting, Financial Services, HR, Legal, Office Administration, Footwear & Apparel, and Marketing & AdvertisingPlease keep in mind that we may not be the best resource if your experience lies outside of these areas or if you’re looking to change careers. Here’s a longer explanation of how to work with a recruiter.

There are two ways to apply:

If you have any questions on the status of your resume, about our process, or if you just want some job search advice, please reach out to our Career Advisor via our website chat or connect@bolywelch.com.

We don’t require cover letters, but appreciate you providing context around your job search, such as timing, motivation, and interests in particular roles. That helps our recruiters consider you for positions at client companies that could match your background. If we can complement your search efforts, we’ll schedule you for an interview with a Boly:Welch recruiter.

If we don’t think we’ll be a strong resource now or in the near future, we won’t waste your time by bringing you in to meet with us. And, although we can’t find a new home for everyone we meet, you can expect open communication and honest feedback from our team as we move through the process with you. Please reach out to us with any questions. We’re here to help.

What to Expect When You Meet With Us

NOTE: We are not currently meeting with anyone face-to-face, but some of the following information will help you prepare for a video interview with us. We also recommend this blog article for tips on how to ace your video interview.

We want to get to know you, so allow plenty of time when you meet with a Boly:Welch recruiter.

During that meeting we’ll ask you to share personal goals, interests, and try to truly understand the skills and abilities you’ll bring to your next role. Remember, our job is to make a good match between you and your next employer.

If your recruiter sends you an application packet, please complete the documents in advance of your appointment. In addition, your recruiter will determine any assessments needed to maximize your opportunity for successful employment, such as MS Office Suites – Word, Excel and PowerPoint –  keyboarding, spelling, and grammar. For accounting-related positions, we administer bookkeeping, general accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable tests.

As a B Corp with an eye towards sustainability and the goal of a paperless office, we encourage you to email the packet to your recruiter prior to your appointment. However, if you choose to complete the registration process in our office, plan on two hours to complete the paperwork, take applicable tests, and meet with our staff.

Dress as you would for any professional job interview in your industry.

Is Contract Temporary Work For You?

In addition to Direct-Hire placements, we support client needs for Contract Temporary and Temp-to-Hire opportunities. So, if you’re not currently working, we encourage you to consider short-term assignments while you look for your dream job. Every role is an opportunity to network, build your business experience, and make money! You’ll be represented by an experienced recruiter for both types of roles, and benefit from two professionals supporting your job search!

If ongoing contract work is your goal, the flexibility of short-term assignments is available and you can expect the same precision matching from your Contract Temporary recruiter as candidates seeking Direct-Hire positions.

Once you’re a candidate, be sure to email our Contract Temporary team each weekend at available@bolywelch.com with your name and upcoming availability to receive priority status for assignments. You can expect to hear from us regarding a potential opportunity when we know that you are available for placement. Our goal is to match you with short-term and long-term assignments, depending on your interests, availability, and skill level.

We do our best to minimize gaps between assignments, but since we work with a wide range of locations, clients, and their varying needs, we are unable to guarantee assignments.

That said, we encourage you to make the most of any downtime by exploring networking opportunities and volunteering.

Visit our Contract Temporary page to learn more about how these assignments work, our general guidelines, and the benefits and employee discounts our Contract Temporary employees are eligible for!
