✅ Prep 3-5 S.T.A.R. anecdotes to have ready for your next interview
✅ Put together 1-2 “power outfits” that help you feel dressed for the job (and organization) you want
🗣 Before each interview, thoroughly research the organization (press, social media, online reviews), the person you’ll be interviewing with, and the job description.
🗣 First impressions matter! Make sure you’re timely in all of your communications, nice to everyone, make good eye contact, come ready with your resume and tools for notetaking, and dress for the position (and company) you want.
🗣 Use the S.T.A.R. method to prepare for common interview questions.
🗣 Be upfront with any spotty work history, with a positive sell, and explain what you’ve learned and what you would do different next time.
🗣 Make sure to follow-up with each of your interviewers within 24 hours with a note that is simple, sincere, and specific.
