Contract Employees

Here’s what you need to know about being a contracted employee with Boly:Welch.

Guidelines & Resources

Your B:W recruiter will be your key point of contact for questions about your assignment. Any concerns about your role and workflow should be directed to your onsite advisor.

On Assignment

While you’re on assignment, it’s important to stay in touch with your Boly:Welch Recruiter. Here are some key matters to keep us aware of:

  • Your safety is critical. Please follow all workplace safety policies and exercise good judgment. If you experience an on-the-job injury, notify us immediately so we can promptly resolve and process a claim. All on-the-job injuries require a drug and alcohol screen upon receipt of medical attention.
  • Contact your Boly:Welch recruiter if your employer asks you to drive while on assignment, handle cash or valuables, or change your job duties substantially.

Punctuality and regular attendance are essential to our mutual success. A few things to keep in mind as a Contract Temporary employee:

  • Arrive 10-15 minutes early on the first day of your assignment.
  • If you’re going to be absent, notify your recruiter at least two (2) hours before your shift starts.
  • If you’re going to be late, let your recruiter know your estimated arrival time.
  • Need to take time off? Notify your recruiter at least two (2) weeks in advance, and request time off in your Paycom portal via desktop or app.
  • ‘no call, no show’ is grounds for disciplinary action and/or termination. Likewise, a ‘no call, no show’ on consecutive days is a voluntary termination of your employment.
  • Let your recruiter know about commitments that may interrupt or limit your time on assignment.
  • Clothing and appearance should be professional and align with your workplace dress code.
  • Any equipment, supplies, ID cards, badges, or other employer-supplied items should be used for business purposes only and returned at the end of your assignment. Holding items beyond that point could be considered theft and result in your termination as a Boly:Welch employee.

Employee Discounts

  • You’ll receive quarterly invites to the adidas and Columbia employee stores.
  • You’ll save 22% on monthly wireless service plans through AT&T.

Payroll & Paychecks

As a Contract Temporary employee, you’ll be paid weekly for your time on assignment. To ensure prompt payment, submit your time card each week using the option(s) provided by your recruiter.

  • Work weeks are the seven-day period starting Monday at 12:01 am and ending Sunday at midnight.
  • Timecards must be received by 10:00 am each Monday through the duration of your assignment.
  • You will receive an email with your login credentials and a tutorial on how to enter your time into our timekeeping and payroll software, Paycom. If you do not receive this by your first day of employment, please reach out to your recruiter.
  • We offer Direct Deposit for all of our Contract Temporary employees. To enroll, please submit your bank account information within your Paycom profile.
  • If you haven’t set up Direct Deposit, your paycheck will be mailed to you.
  • When we determine it’s safe to be back in our office, you’ll have the option to pick up your paycheck before 10am on the Friday after you submitted your time card. Please bring your ID with you.

We require written authorization before releasing your paycheck to anyone other than you.

Contact our Payroll Department at [email protected] with any questions.

Benefits

  • You’ll be eligible for healthcare benefits — medical, dental, and vision  on the first of the month following 60 days on assignment. Boly:Welch subsidizes a portion of your monthly premium. You must be working a minimum of 30-hours-per-week in order to qualify for eligibility.
  • We offer an FSA Section 125 plan to support medical expenses with pre-tax dollars.
  • Oregon Sick Pay is available after 90 days on assignment. You’ll accrue one (1) hour for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 40 hours.
  • Login into your Paycom portal via desktop or app to request sick time.
  • 401(k) Employee Deferral Elections:
All contract employees will be eligible to enroll and contribute toward their Boly:Welch 401(k) on the first of the month following 60 days of employment. Contributions are 100% vested.
  • 401(k) Safe Harbor Non-Elective Contribution: Boly:Welch will contribute an amount equal to 3% of your compensation to the 401(k) plan annually. This contribution is 100% vested and will be made regardless of your contribution amount.

Entry dates are twice annually — January 1 and July 1.

Referral Bonus Program

Great friends help friends find great jobs

Did you know that we have a candidate referral program that rewards you for helping your friends make their next career move?

Here’s how it works:

  1. Tell a friend about a Boly:Welch job you think would be a good fit, or a Boly:Welch recruiter they should work with.
  1. If they apply and are placed in a role we’re working on, make sure they tell us that you referred them. We’ll check in with you for a mailing address.
  1. Wait for a $100 check expressing our gratitude to arrive in the mail (after 90 days or 100 hours of employment).
