Job Number: 14875

Salary: $22-$28/hour DOE

Industry: Legal

What Matters Most:

  • 2+ years of office and customer service experience required; legal experience a plus!
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat required
  • High School Diploma required; Associate degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred

Your New Role:
Are you looking to put your client service skills to use as you jumpstart your legal career? Join this boutique Lake Oswego firm with ample room for growth as their Receptionist/Legal Assistant!

As the face of the office, you’ll greet clients, answer phones, and process potential new clients in an “intake” function. Additionally, you’ll handle calendaring, track deadlines, and correspond with both clients and courts. After some legal training, you’ll take on e-filing and drafting legal documents supporting the litigation process. The managing attorney offers clear instruction with a big picture perspective, so you will benefit from excellent mentorship – without being micromanaged.

Strong detail aptitude, an eagerness to learn, and great communication skills will make you a competitive candidate!

This is an in-office contract-temporary role, but it could evolve into a permanent position if we find the perfect fit. There’s even potential to take on more legal assistant work in the future.

Your New Organization:
This practice handles a combination of estate planning, probate administration, and estates and trusts litigation. A family feel, comradery, commitment to work-life balance, and super interesting cases set them apart from other firms.

The doors opened here 11 years ago, and they recently bought a beautiful building in Lake Oswego. Slow and steady growth – they become more and more profitable with each passing year!

Once you’re hired on a permanent basis, your benefits will include paid time off, a 401(k) with 3% match, a stipend for medical coverage, and free parking.
