Your New Role: This busy boutique plaintiffs’ firm is seeking a Legal Assistant to join their talented legal team handling complex medical malpractice and personal injury cases.
You’ll act as the first point of contact, handle new client intakes, and answer phones. Strong communication and organization skills will be key as you obtain medical records and follow up on records requests. You’ll need to be both empathetic and resolute as you interface with clients in challenging situations. This role will include some light bookkeeping via QuickBooks, but no bookkeeping experience is necessary as this team is willing to train the right person. You’ll also get the chance to support the senior staff, a legal assistant, and a couple of paralegals experienced in trial prep and catastrophic plaintiffs’ cases.
The team is seeking someone who’s collegial, proactive, and discreet when handling sensitive information. This is an in-office role, so you’ll benefit from working alongside your tenured colleagues each day, poised to broaden your scope of responsibility over time!
