Job Number: 15084

Salary: $150K-$250K plus variable

Industry: Packaging

What Matters Most:

  • 10+ years of experience in sales with 5+ years of senior management or director-level experience within the packaging industry
  • Experience in distribution sales and rigid packaging required
  • Proven ability to leverage existing relationships and build new relationships in a sales setting

Your New Role:
You’re a rigid packaging industry leader who excels at strategy and market research, and you’re ready for the next opportunity to take the reins of a sales department of at least 8 people and motivate it to further success in various markets in a multistate territory in the Western US.

We’re searching for an experienced Director of Sales to develop and manage a fast-paced, dynamic sales and business development process that meets and exceeds company growth expectations. This looks like identifying and cultivating relationships with customers and suppliers, monitoring and analyzing sales metrics, developing and managing your team’s budget, and providing regular sales forecasting insight to management.

A relational approach will empower your success as leader of the sales departments: they’ll look to you for mentorship and ongoing training and development opportunities. Collaboration will happen both internally and externally, as you team up with other departments to ensure alignment with company goals, represent the organization at industry conferences, and negotiate with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders. You’ll also travel 25% of the time to visit customers and attend trade shows and other industry events monthly.

Please only apply if you have experience in packaging sales!

Your New Organization:
You’ll join a family-owned company with great culture, a fairly flat reporting structure, and a deeply engaged owner. This company is known for their flexibility, supply chain expertise, and creative solutions to sourcing and packaging design. They value all relationships, internal and external alike.

This workplace is committed to equality of opportunity in employment.

Benefits here include leadership development training; 100% employer-paid health benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; a cafeteria plan with core and optional benefits like Aflac, LegalShield, and pet insurance; paid time off and paid holidays – including your birthday!
