Your New Role:

This is an opportunity to influence product at its foundation. As a Material Designer, you’ll translate trends, insights, and creative direction into material solutions that support both performance and market success. 

In this role, you’ll plan and execute material designs in close collaboration with cross-functional partners, including design, product marketing, development, and color. You’ll help ensure material direction aligns with both creative vision and business goals, contributing to products that resonate in the market. 

Your work will span the full product creation process, from early research and connecting through to sampling. Along the way, you’ll research and interpret material, design, and lifestyle trends, bringing forward insights that inform and elevate the product category. You’ll balance innovation with execution, ensuring materials meet expectations for aesthetic, performance, quality, and cost. 

This recurring contract opportunity reflects ongoing and future openings with a global leader in the footwear and apparel industry, based in Beaverton, OR. Assignments typically range from 6 months to 2 years, with new roles opening on a rolling basis. 

Candidates must be currently located in the Portland metro area and available to work on-site.
