Pat Welch balances a busy work schedule with an active personal life. After 30 years, she and co-founder Diane Boly continue to actively manage the 40+ person staff at this multi-division, full-service recruiting and consulting agency.
Relationships have always driven Pat. Whether it’s getting to know her identical twin grandsons or new granddaughter, working with a client to grow their business, or nurturing a candidate through the job search process, people matter most to her. Oh, and did we mention she has set up 43 couples on dates that led to marriage?
A lifelong film buff, Pat originally intended to make movies. After completing film school at Boston University she accepted an interim job in recruiting, and the rest is history. She still loves going to the movies and traveling, but family, feasting with her “cooking girls” and poker take up much of her free time these days. She plays weekly in tournaments at the M.A.C. club where she earned her share of the pot and named “Player of the Year” in 2012.
Pat’s enthusiasm is as legendary as her dedication to community service. She is committed to advocating for the most underserved and vulnerable population, foster children. She serves as a board member of Bridge Meadows and as the Board President of CASA for Multnomah & Washington Counties. She was named an Orchid Award Woman of Influence by the Portland Business Journal in 2013.
